My steampunk costume for Carnevale 2013 at the Idaho Botanical Gardens.

I made the bustle for the costume myself. Made the layers in separate pieces so that I can mix them up for other costumes. I used 2 thrifted skirts, 1 thrifted curtain panel, some garage sale tulle, and clearance bin ribbon. So, the whole bustle cost less than $12 to make.

The goggles were a nice touch for the costume. I can thank Subspace for the awesome selection of great steampunk stuff, got the corset, belt, goggles and earrings there. They’re great!
